Interior Design Fair
Last Sunday, I went to the last day of the 'Woonbeurs'. I had seen a lot of pretty photos from friends and bloggers so when we got there I knew exactly where I wanted to be, design city :)! The first time I visited the interior design fair was back in 2007 and I had good memories about it because it's where I bought my first fake deer head. I have no idea why I never went after that until this year, I kept forgetting about it I guess. But just like in 2007 I came home loaded with pretty things. Following are photos of all the pretty things I saw.
Starting with Urlaub, the beautiful booth of Kim Welling (pictured above) and Ellen Vesters. I already knew I was a fan of Kim Welling's work (and bought one of her cute prints) but didn't know Ellen yet. I'm happy I do now, she was (they both were) lovely to meet! They also sold the wonderful work of Femke Veltkamp. Ellen and Kim are working on opening an illustration & concept store in Utrecht, keep an eye on their website!
I was determined to find Studio de winkel because I had my eyes set on a cute little Lenneke Wispelwey vase.
Ate a yummy snack from De Bakkerswinkel halfway there.
And admired the beautiful work of Nina Führer, don't you just love these scarfs?
When we left Design City (I secretly wished the entire fair was design city) I saw many more pretty things, but honestly I have no idea if I've seen it all because it was so huge. Pictured above is the 101 woonideeën house, I love the plastic geometric deer so much... Besides this house I also liked the Ariadne at home house and fell in love with the paper Moga Moga lamp shades.
By the time we passed these adorable Woody's from Tweelink I unfortunately ran out of money. Aren't they adorable? Not pictured but definitely worth a mention are also Kek Amsterdam where I bought a cardboard vintage villa for the kitties, Humade, Conzi, Peanuts and Cherrys, Studio klein geluk and Lauren van der Kolk. All in all a lovely day :).
