Pots and Paper
About a week ago, I decided to travel to Antwerp to visit Pots and Paper. It might sound silly, but I am usually not a fan of travelling, especially not if I'm all by myself, going somewhere I never went before. Almost everything went wrong, I forgot my train tickets and our local station decided it was a good day to do some railroad maintenance so I had to take a bus, which took way too long because the bus driver was new and didn't know the way properly. Luckily I was just in time for my train to Antwerp, where I took the right tram, only heading the wrong direction ;). Well, I did make it to Pots and Paper eventually, and it was wonderful and completely worth it.
Pots and Paper was organized by a bunch of talented and sweet ladies: Belle fleur de lis, Lililabeth, Hermine van Dijck, Studio Meez and Our strange nature. A lot of pretty artwork was for sale, but also plants and gorgeous plant hangers. I took two tiny seedlings with me in cute cups to trade in the plant swap, a Tolmiea and a Geranium. I swapped them for a Sansevieria and an Oxalis. I had a lovely chat and a delicious cup of tea with Lotte, and before I knew it it was time to travel home again.
Even though I doubted it at the time, it wasn't all that bad roaming around by myself. I had many 'yikes' moments, but once home again I felt quite proud, strong and free. I felt like Pippi :).
