Growing family of plants

New mini Aloe Geranium and Hydrangia baby Pilea waiting... Aloe Vera and Frutsel tiny cacti

Some photos I took today of our growing family of plants. Plants are becoming my favorite everything, I love caring for them, photographing them and adding new ones to my wishlist. I used to be a disaster with plants, but I know now that they, like every living being, need love and affection. In return they make me feel mindful and inspired and our home is getting more cheerful with every new rookie. The latest plant that was added to the family is the little Aloe Vera in the first picture. The baby Pilea's are growing really good and I've also seeded cacti as seen in the sixth photo. So far not much luck with the avocado's but I'm trying to be very patient :). A while ago I stumbled on the lovely blog Little green shed with a very inspiring nature in the home series I'm joining. Have a look at all the inspiring blogs and photos if you like.

Very pretty!

Your photography is so beautiful. What camera and lens do you use? My house is so dark my photos just never come out right :(

Hi Jen,

Thank you :). I use a Nikon D3000, it's a bit of an older model. The bright light comes from the lens, it's a 50mm 1.8 lens and due to the large lens opening it is able to capture much light. Do you own a slr camera? These type of lenses are available for many. Hope it helps :).
