Bokeh Hearts

I'm completely addicted to making heart bokeh pictures!

It's a lot more difficult in daylight, but I'll keep experimenting, it's so fun! I can't wait to make other shapes as well :)!

A beach party, I thought it was still light enough to take the pictures without flash, oops :). But although you can't really see who are in the pictures, I still like the little shadow people. I'm officially out of fresh lomo's now, but I have made a lot of pictures with the Konica pop, I hope to show them next week, I'm so curious!

I got home yesterday from Belgium and am now in the phase where I miss everything and everyone so so much. The kitties were very happy to see us though, and we to see them of course :)!

Brussels

I ♡ Brussels!

Or better: I love shopping in Brussels!

I so regret not buying the shoes on the right, so so much!

But I did buy a new coat! A vintage one! I love it! (I went to Belgium without a coat and obviously without checking what kind of weather it would be, brrrrr, but a really good excuse to buy a new one though).

I googled two vintage stores and they were both brilliant, Foxhole and Gabriele Vintage. I truly wanted to buy everything. Pay a visit when you are in Brussels!

Conclusion; go to Brussels, it's awesome :), I definitely want to go back! Tonight is already our last night here :( I can't believe how fast the week went by. But I'm dying to get back to the kitties. Sorry for the lack of writing but I have a campfire to get to!

Aachen

Joris bought a new pair of supreme being shoes, I bought delicious loose jasmine tea and black paper; I made my first heart bokeh :)!

Hello from Belgium!

Hello! We managed to get a tiny and very slow internet connection! I'm so happy, because now I can show you where I am, it's beautiful. We are staying in this castle:

The surrounding area is so beautiful as well, and the owners are very friendly. They brought us yummy hand picked plums.

The castle has all these cute details and is surrounded by horses (which we can't ride unfortunately, but taking pictures of them pleasures me enough too).

We have one of the nicest rooms, with a very pretty balcony where I can take nice pictures on :)

The best part of everything is, that all our lovely friends are with us and we have so much fun! We went to Aachen (Germany) today, the German border is very close to where we stay, big bonus!

I'll show some Aachen pictures later on :).

Lomo Saturday

Hi everyone!

I'm writing this post in advance in case I don't have internet in Belgium (it's actually Thursday now), and I wouldn't want to miss a Lomo Saturday :)! Unfortunately I don't have any other posts set up yet so if you are reading this, it's the last thing on my blog till next Friday, and I'll be in Belgium (hopefully) having amazing times :).

Almost ready to go

Just as I'm finishing up the last chores before leaving for Belgium, the vacuum cleaner breaks down! I already piled everything up, including Moos, on the dinner table.

Pretty frustrating, it's the one thing left I have to do today, vacuum, and now the stupid thing is broken. Aside from the dust on the floor I feel like our house has never been this clean :)! And it's suddenly way cooler to take pictures...

I'm going to pack our bags tomorrow morning, I don't want my pretty dresses to get all wrinkled :). I'm only staying in Belgium for a week but of course my entire life has to come with me in my suitcase. And of course my camera bag is way to tiny for all my camera's and lenses. By the way I found a super fabulous camera from '82. A Konica Pop! I'm going to check it out in Belgium and show the pictures in Lomo Saturday.

There might be internet where I'm going, but in case there isn't, there might be a bit of blog silence next week :(. But I really hope for internet and daily reports on my adventures in Belgium!

Blimey I love my new lens! I hope to be back tomorrow! Bye now!

New Lens #2

Remember I told you about winning review of the month at Digital Warehouse? I used the money I won to buy a new lens - yet again - and I love it again!

I am now the proud owner of a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D lens! It's a pretty basic lens, it can't zoom at all, so you have to zoom by moving closer or backing up. But! Why I love this lens so much is depth in the pictures.

It's so pretty! I chose to buy the one without auto focus, because well, it was a lot cheaper, but also because I really enjoy focusing it myself!

This Friday I'm leaving for Belgium, and now I can take it with me, yes! I'll be in Belgium for a week, and when I come back, I want to come back in a spotless home, that's why I have been in constant cleaning mode for the past two days. Do you know that feeling, you are leaving for vacation and suddenly your home has to be clean as can be?
