Lomo Saturday

The first actionsampler shots from a trip to Utrecht with

friends, to pick out some new glasses for me at the hall of

frame. On the first picture you see part of the Dom church,

the second is my friend Kers twirling in her pretty skirt and

the third one was taken from the bus :).

The rest of the film turned out quite nice as well,

only the iso (400) was a little too high for sunny days I

noticed. It is almost perfect for inside day shots though :)!

Weddings

Two of my friends are getting married this year,

I'm so exited for them :)! The first one to say

'I do' will be my friend Rosalyn this Tuesday.

I love weddings, I can't wait for my own, but

while waiting I'm very happy to become a wedding

card designer - photographer and bridesmaid :D!

Rosalyn asked me to design her wedding card, and

I was honored to do so of course. I don't know

the exact translation of her job in English but

let's just say she works in the movie business,

very awesome with red carpet premieres and such ;).

Her card was inspired by her job, on 'famous' movies.

Let me just stop the jabbering and show it to you!

I photographed Rosalyn and her soon to be husband who's

name also is Joris (like my love and perhaps some day

also soon to be husband ;)) and gave them lead roles in

famous movies. I've never done anything like this so some

things were quite tricky, like creating rain with Photoshop.

Thank god for all the wonderful tutorials on the web :)!

Do you recognize some of the movies? Shall I tell :)?

I'm going to take pictures on the big day as well, I'm

a little nervous but also very enthusiastic. I think it's

so awesome and sweet that Rosalyn has such faith in me :).

Dress up #6

This Dress Up is mainly about the shoes, I picked

the outfit so it would match them ;).

I bought them a while ago on Etsy, aren't they cute?

Wish I had more turquoise to match them, like a

turquoise skirt, that would really make the outfit

complete :).

Cooking

I've been a little in to cooking lately,

I used to really dislike cooking but it suddenly changed

and I'm beginning to really see the fun in it! Now every

bookstore has to be checked for cute cookbooks and we buy

vegetables that we never bought before, like knolselderij

(turnip-rooted celery, according to the dictionary) which

wasn't easy because apparently it's out of season already.

I needed it for a recipe from the cookbook I bought last

week, for girls from 8 to 88 :).

And this is what I made:

Knolselderij stamppot met venkel!

Turnip-rooted celery stew with fennel!

And bladerdeegstengels met venkel zaadjes

'puff pastry stems with fennel seeds'.

Obviously I can't give you the recipe, but I can tell

you it was delicious ;)!

Lomo Saturday

I didn't get the chance yet to shoot and develop new Lomo film,

but luckily I ordered some new film for my polaroid camera from

the impossible project. So it's actually Polaroid Saturday today ;).

I love love love the colors in the first picture by the way! And I

was reminded that taking pictures with a polaroid camera isn't

always as easy as it looks {third picture} but luckily the fourth

turned out cute :).

Hopefully I can show you cool actionsampler shots next week :)!

All New

Hi everyone,

I've been working on a new design for the past few days

and it's airing today :)! I'm sure one or two things might

still change but the basics are finished and I just wanted

to be live again :)! It's pretty different from the past

design right? It's so weird, normally I'm the color explosions

type, but during the light summer days I turn into a romantic

flowery girl filled with pastels and butterflies. This also

affects my clothing and interior style, but I don't think

Joris would approve of me abusing our house for my make over

jitters every summer, so I'm glad I can abuse my blog ;),

I want to thank Katrina from Pugly Pixel for her

wonderful digital goods and being my friend!

I'll get back to my regular posting tomorrow,
