Nice Things
This week I was at home a lot, except when we really needed
groceries. The weather sucked big time, and the vintage summer
dresses in my closet are screaming at me to put them on.
Just now I got an email from Joris's family, they own a
farm and the first lambs were born this week! This makes
me smile, I love the magic of new life and the signs of spring
everywhere.
What also made me really happy, was a woman I met on
'Marktplaats' (sort of a Dutch ebay) who also collects deer.
Her collection outgrown her house a little, so she emailed me pictures
of deer she didn't need anymore, and I could have everything for free!
I still can't believe it, the first package already arrived and it is all
so pretty, and for someone to be so sweet melts my heart!
I'm still trying to think of something I can do back for her.
We now have really nice mail contact, she's a sweetheart!
As soon as the sun starts to shine a little, I'll take pictures
of the new additions.
The rest of the week was spent on working on a little portfolio
to take with me so people can take a quick look at my creativity.
I went all out with my scrapping skills to make it pretty :).
I finished and ordered it today ( I used a photo service from the
Hema, they print it in a pretty album). Here are some pages:
Friday my friend Ghislaine came by with some belated birthday presents :)!
Everything was so cute, like a little book called 'Zinnenverzinzin'
with children's poems she helped publish.
Though spring is on it's way, I couldn't help but buying
myself a lovely wool boyfriend cardigan from Episode.
I love it's nerdy folklore design!
Last but not least, we have a frying pan, my boyfriend tricked
me into giving him this as an early birthday present. Our entire
home smells like it, yuck! And though I like to pretend I
hate fried food, I secretly very much enjoy the little snacks
coming out of that thing ;).

Cute shop : Planet Fur
I adore Planet Fur's creations. And I'm predicting a creature
from Planet Fur will soon be adopted in to my home.
I just can't pick one, they are all so cute!

I love you Deer
Getting tired of the deer overload already?
Yes I changed my cursor in to a deer, a bit tacky
maybe, but I kinda like it that way ;).
I have a little more deer though. I often get e-mails from
adorable ladies asking me; 'Where!? Oh where do you buy your deer!?'

Moby
About 7 years ago, when Moby was just a tiny little kitten,
my dad picked her up from the shelter. She lived with him for
about 2 years, but than my dad moved in with his girlfriend and
she already had 3 cats. At first he took her with him, but the four
cats together weren't the best match, so Moby came to live with me.
I lived very small, I only had two rooms! But Moby was very happy
with her new home, and owner, because she was safe and never alone!
I remember this one time, Joris and I went on vacation to England for two
weeks and Joris's sister took care of Moby. When I came home
she was so happy she instantly peed on the couch!
Moby is the most faithful kitty of the bunch. She's always by my side
and loves to snuggle with me. She also has a soft spot for Joris, when
he comes in the room she lights up and reaches out to him with her paws.
When she was little and lived with my dad, she once fell off the balcony.
We suspect that her head got a little ding-dong when that happened,
because most of the time she acts a little weird. She sees things
no one else sees. And sometimes she walks in to things like a
door or a chair.
Moby can also be described as shy, she doesn't really play with
the other kitties and when company comes, she'll hide in the
bedroom. One day of the year; 31 December, she spends
in the bedroom closet, afraid of the fireworks.
Sweet silly Moby, she's one of my best friends ♡

Pampered
Thank you all so much for congratulating me in every
way possible. I received cards, e-mails, tweets, blog comments and
facebook messages for life :)! It made me so happy!
My birthday actually started Friday evening. when Rosalyn and Joris came
by. I got the most wonderful gift, something I've been eager to receive
for a long time; a huge camera stand!

Saturday I got my long desired and very much needed present my hubby,
his parents and my mom teamed up to get for me: A new laptop!
Several important parts of my old laptop had given up already
and he was sooo slow.
My new laptop is a world of difference! I can finally spin a new
photoshop version and it's fully loaded in about 2 seconds!
I really have to get used to it though! Hubby made sure
I have the entire design package like illustrator and Indesign,
I can't wait to try everything out!

Collections part two
A while ago I wrote about taking great joy in collecting stuff, and about my boyfriend almost going crazy about my hoarding behaviour. Well, compared to the collection I'm about to show you today, my interior book collection is nothing :)!
My deer collection is not as big as Kaylah's but still, big enough to walk in to our house and only seeing deer deer deer! Prepare to get photobommed!
The Bedroom:
I didn't feel like putting all deer together, too much work ;), so I just photographed the deer where they are.
The Livingroom #1:
The deer came from various places, some from thrift stores, some from ebay or webshops. But most of them, I think, were given to me by family and friends :).
More? Yes!
The Livingroom #2:
Some deer didn't make the pictures, because our house is so small I don't even know where to put them any more. It's crazy, I know, but I won't stop, no I won't :D!

Lovely Day
What a beautiful spring day today is. Too bad I'm stuck under a blanket on the couch with a cold, sneezing away. But I must say, this kinda weather really makes me happy. I've had it with the dark and cold days, and I'm completely ready for spring and summer.
My house is a mess, and this Saturday is my birthday so I really need to start cleaning :). I'm not a big fan of having big party's, but I always love to have some precious people around.
So cleaning it is then. I hope you have a lovely sunny day, wherever you are :).

Doggy update

I want to thank everyone for the lovely feedback
on my 'Yes or No' situation regarding a doggy.
We decided not to take the dog from the
shelter, because I couldn't make up my mind
and was afraid I would only take her in because
I felt sorry for the poor thing, not because she's
suited for our little family. We now decided to
wait till a dog comes on our path, though I still
catch myself checking the shelter website
everyday out of curiosity.
I rediscovered 'Vignette Demo' on my phone,
it takes really cool pictures :).
